Yo Adrian

First named storm of the Hurricane season, unusually moves from the Pacific toward the Gulf.

From Weird & wet: Storm Adrian to soak Guatemala and El Salvador, maybe S. Fla.:

"Pacific Tropical Storm Adrian likely won't pose any threat to South Florida, other than some rain showers over the weekend, the National Weather Service in Miami said.

Yet the storm threatens to rough up the Pacific coasts of Guatemala and El Salvador with 6 to 10 inches of rain and near-hurricane force winds by Thursday. A tropical storm watch was posted for the coastal areas of both Central American nations.

At 11 a.m. EST on Wednesday, the system was about 295 miles southwest of the Guatemala-El Salvador border, crawling northeast at almost 8 mph with sustained winds of 50 mph. The storm was at 11.1 North and 93.5 West."
