Just as an aside, I know a ton of people who pray for peace but seem to enjoy war--in fact one might say are cheerleaders for war. I believe in the power of our prayers, but prayers that we pray with our hearts. We can't pray the rosary for peace and at the same time sit like Jonah outside of Nineveh waiting for fire and brimstone to rain down on our enemies. One of the sadest episodes in the reception of this pope's pontificate was how his recent pleas for peace were rejected by his staunchest followers here in the United States. Sad...
